Ear Inspection

The Drummond Company's knowledgeable experts will conduct a physical examination of the inner and outer ear via videotoscope. The purpose of this examination is to evaluate the physical condition of the ear and to ensure there are no extraneous causes for hearing difficulties such as excessive wax buildup.

Audiometric Hearing Test

Patients will be tested with a series of tones and a set of words to measure hearing ability and word understanding. Hearing occurs in the brain, as well as in the ear, therefore testing a patient's word comprehension in addition to tone recognition gives our experts a well-rounded understanding of a patient's individual hearing loss. These test results provide our team with the accurate knowledge to fit a patient with the hearing aid best suited for their lifestyle and specific hearing loss.

Once the ear inspection and hearing test are completed, The Drummond Company team will discuss the results with the patient. Our experts then walk the patient through a series of tests that determine what words may be missing in their comprehension as well as the tones that do not register with their current hearing.

Hearing Aid Training

Once a patient has the hearing aids, one of our experts will provide extensive training on his/her new hearing aids. The patient will be instructed on insertion and extraction of the hearing aid, proper cleaning procedures, battery maintenance and finally, any troubleshooting.

Our offices provide complimentary lifetime care of our patients and their hearing aids. We will adjust your hearing aids as needed, perform quarterly check-ups, deep-cleaning of hearing aids and revisit the ear inspection and audiometric hearing test to ensure your aids are programmed correctly.

Hearing aids purchased from The Drummond Company come with a cleaning kit, case and batteries. Additionally, we have other accessories available for purchase at any of our 3 convienient loctations:
